Corey is an experienced Health Coach with over ten years in the field, specializing in corporate wellness and clinical settings. He holds a Health Coaching degree from the University of Iowa and has undergone further training at Johns Hopkins, where he focused on behavior modification, weight management, and personalized coaching techniques. Presently, Corey works as a Clinical Health Coach at a safety net hospital in Des Moines, IA, where he is dedicated to helping patients achieve their health goals and manage chronic conditions.
His passion for improving healthcare experiences, especially for underserved communities, is fueled by his own interactions with the healthcare system. Corey founded The Healthy Project, an organization aimed at creating health equity content, including the Healthy Project Podcast and the mental health series "Coffee Can't Fix Everything." Additionally, he established My City My Health, a conference series that fosters global dialogue on health equity.
Corey's commitment to enhancing healthcare and advancing health equity was recognized when he was named to the Des Moines Business Record's Forty Under 40 list in 2023, highlighting his significant contributions to his field and community.
