Award recognizes WellRight's customer's efforts to support and champion wellness for its employees with platinum certification.
Semi-annually, in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Healthy KC initiative recognizes area organizations for innovation and excellence in promoting a culture of health in the workplace through their wellness certification program. Certifications range from Honorable Mention up to Platinum and are based on five pillars of health and wellness: Nutrition, Physical Activity, Tobacco Cessation, Work-Life Integration and Design-Built Environment.
This year, the North Kansas City Hospital was awarded Platinum certification, the highest achievable honor. The award is given to local businesses who champion workplace wellness in an effort to draw attention to the overall health and well-being of their employees.
“As a hospital system, our team is on the front lines of the pandemic each and every day,” says Leia Darden, MPH, CWC, Wellness Coordinator for NKCH. “With the support of the WellRight platform, our wellness program is able to provide the right level of support at the right time. And it is an honor to be recognized by Healthy KC for our program.”
